The statewide mobilization conference will be held in the Pauley Ballroom, located on the third floor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union Building at the UC Berkeley campus. Major cross streets are Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue.

Transportation options:

For your convenience, a Google Group has been set up to facilitate the arrangement of carpools to the conference. If you either need or can provide a carpool, please post a topic with either [NEED] or [PROVIDE] in the subject line.

Driving: For directions on how to get to the venue, please enter your starting location into the Google Map above (or input “Bancroft Way & Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley, CA” as your destination).

By Bus – California Shuttle Bus: Reserve your seat in advance at http://www.cashuttlebus.com/. Choose “SF4 – Bayfair BART Station” as your destination. From there, take the Richmond-bound BART train to the Downtown Berkeley stop.

By Train – Amtrak: Purchase your fare in advance at http://www.amtrak.com/ or at your station of departure.Take the train to the Oakland – Coliseum/Airport, CA (OAC) station. From there, take the Richmond-bound BART train to the Downtown Berkeley stop.

By Plane – From SFO: Take the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART train to 12th St. Oakland City Center. From there, transfer to the Richmond-bound BART train and exit at the Downtown Berkeley stop. (Note that there are multiple lines and transfer points from SFO to UC Berkeley. For more information, please visit http://www.bart.gov/.)

By Plane – From OAK: Take the AirBART shuttle from the airport to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station. From there, take the Richmond-bound BART train to the Downtown Berkeley stop.

Alternately, there are many available hotels in the vicinity.  One of these options is The Golden Bear Hotel — if there is any interest in a group rate, please contact us ASAP (within the next 48 hours). The current proposal would amount to 10% off of $3,137 for 32 rooms, totaling $2,694. This can accommodate 92 people, which would make it $30 a person. Please let us know immediately if this interests you; your response will determine whether or not this will be a possibility.
